The New York Red Bulls have acquired defender Carey Talley from D.C. United in exchange for a conditional second round draft pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.
“Carey is an experienced veteran of Major League Soccer who will undoubtedly add leadership and depth to our defense,” said Red Bull New York General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. “We are pleased to add him to our squad and look forward to his contributions.”
Talley, 34, has enjoyed a 12-year MLS career, having played with D.C., Real Salt Lake, FC Dallas, the Kansas City Wizards and Chivas USA.
