It was a spectacularly bad night for the team with the best record in Major League Soccer as they took four goals against them in CONCACAF Champions League action versus the Puerto Rico Islanders.
Former USA coach Bruce Arena, who is now in charge of the Galaxy, gave credit to the Islanders for a spectacular performance and also admitted that his squad fell short in a few areas.
He refused to blame the busy schedule the Galaxy have maintained of late, although a number of Galaxy players flew out immediately after the match to join the All-Star squad in Houston that will face Manchester United.
