Bobby Convey Replaces Injured Jonathan Bornstein On MLS All-Star Team

Bobby Convey will replace the injured Jonathan Bornstein on the MLS All-Star team, the league confirmed today.

Chivas USA captain Bornstein suffered a knee injury against the Houston Dynamo in SuperLiga action and will miss out on the July 28 matchup against Manchester United.

Taking his place in Houston will be San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Convey. The U.S. international joined All-Star coach Bruce Arena in Germany for the 2006 World Cup and helped earn his addition to the squad by notching eight assists in 14 games this season.
