A few months ago, Indian football star Sunil Chhetri made headlines following his move to Kansas City Wizards in the United States. Though he impressed in a few friendlies and practice matches, the Delhi born striker has still not managed to make the cut into the starting eleven in MLS matches..

Chhetri has been among the developments at the MLS outfits, and is now set to take on English Premier League giants Manchester United.

The Red Devils are set to embark on their pre-season tour of the USA and are scheduled to play three friendlies. First against Philadelphia Union then they face Kansas City Wizards and finally the English League Cup champions wrap up with a tie against the 2010 MLS All Star XI team.

If all goes well for Chhetri, his name will feature in the team's rosters that will face the English giants. The team's president Mr. Robb Heinemen confirmed the participation of Chhetri as a move to attract more fans and viewers from across the globe.

Chhetri becomes the second Indian player after Bhaichung Bhutia to face Manchester United. Bhutia faced the Red Devils during his stint with English side FC Bury in 2000.

The two sides face off at the newly inaugurated New Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, July 25th.
