Rafael Marquez Unsure Of Barcelona Future
Mexican to speak to club after his holidays.
By Paul Madden
Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez has confessed that he does not know where his future lies as pre-season looms for the Catalan giants.
The 31-year-old Mexican stopper has declared that whether he stays at Camp Nou or leaves will not make much difference for him at this stage of his career but said that as far as he intends to speak to club officials when he returns from holidays.
"I have no idea where I will go, I'm happy if I stay or go because I am at a nice stage where I have won everything," he is quoted as saying by AS.
"I don't know about my future. I do not like to talk about the future, I have two more years at Barcelona, and until I speak with them nothing will be defined. There is a lot of talk but now I'm on vacation."
Amongst the possible destinations for Marquez should he decide to leave is a rumoured switch to the MLS to link up with former team-mate Thierry Henry at the New York Red Bulls.
