Tottenham Midfielder David Bentley Misses Pre-Season Tour Of USA With Ankle Ligament Injury

David Bentley is in a race to be fit for Tottenham's Premier League campaign after an ankle injury ruled him out of a pre-season tour of the USA.
Spurs announced that MRI scans on Monday confirmed the midfielder has damaged right ankle ligaments.
The right-midfielder picked up the injury in the first friendly against Bournemouth on Saturday and will now wait to see if he can be involved once the league season kicks off.
