VIDEO: Seattle and Dallas Coaches React To 1-1 Draw

By John Zielonka

SEATTLE, Wash. – A late week injury to Seattle Designated Player Freddie Ljungberg allowed head coach Sigi Schmid to put a couple of rookies into his starting lineup.

Mike Seamon received credit for his first-ever MLS assist on Fredy Montero’s goal.  In the 56th minute, Miguel Montano tussled with FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea near the midfield touchline.  Referee Kevin Stott issued a yellow to Shea, while Montano headed to the locker room with a red card ejection.

FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman viewed the sending off as the turning point in the match.  Playing with an extra man, the visitors notched the tying goal on David Ferreira’s volley in the 88th minute.

Watch the video below for additional perspectives and comments from Schmid and Hyndman.
