1. Los Angeles – Can't imagine why Bruce Arena would want to bring a fatigued Landon Donovan to New England this weekend. (1)

2. Real Salt Lake – No losses since April. No goals allowed since May. No problems for RSL these days. (2)

3. Columbus – One look at the score sheet from Saturday's 2-1 win over Chicago – goals from Jason Garey and Adam Moffat – shows why the Crew will remain dangerous: occasional contributions from unheralded sources to win games. (3)

4. New York – Juan Pablo Angel may yet earn a new deal with the Red Bulls if he keeps up this scoring pace. (4)

5. FC Dallas – Three straight victories fueled by David Ferreira... (8)

6. Colorado – ...trump three straight draws... (5)

7. Toronto FC – …especially when all three draws occur at home. (6)

8. San Jose – If the Quakes want to seriously vie for a playoff spot, they'll need to hold serve at home better than they did on Saturday night. Getting some of the walking wounded back might help too. (7)

9. Chicago – Big test for the Fire on Thursday night with the RSL juggernaut en route to Toyota Park. (9)

10. Houston
– After earning a draw in Toronto last week, the Dynamo will have to submit a similar performance when the Crew visit Robertson Stadium on Saturday. (10)

11. Philadelphia – Another road draw, another positive sign as the Union continues to progress. (12)

12. D.C. United – Andy Najar continues to shine as United attempts to rebound from its woeful start. (13)

13. Seattle – Bet Sounders FC isn't happy Omar Gonzalez somehow managed to skirt out of a suspension long enough to play in last Sunday's 3-1 loss at Los Angeles. (11)

14. Chivas USA
– Perhaps the Red-and-White can build on last Saturday's home draw against Philadelphia and Tuesday night's surprising Open Cup victory in Houston. (16)

15. Kansas City
– As shown in Frisco on Saturday night, the Wizards aren't playing well enough to overcome an iffy call or two. (15)

16. New England – Number of goals scored in June and July: zero. (14)
