New York Red Bulls 3-1 Juventus: B Teams Clash In Friendly
Both sides fielded weakened starting XIs in the international friendly.

The New York Red Bulls outgunned Juventus in Red Bull Arena, winning 3-1.
New York rested a good deal of its first team with the Major League Soccer schedule still in full swing. Missing half its team to World Cup rosters, Juventus nonetheless named a lineup which contained Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Diego, Antonio Candreva, and Fabio Grosso.
Despite the star power, the Old Lady appeared disorganized and exhausted in the loss. Rookie Tony Tchani powered the Bulls midfield and Irving Garcia impressed in a lively performance down the right flank.
Del Piero carved out the best chances for Juventus, some called back for offside and others smothered by Greg Sutton in goal.
Both teams finished the first half scoreless, which belied the four goals the teams notched in the second.
New York kicked things off in the 50th minute. A rasping Garcia drive clanged off the post before falling to Jeremy Hall. The left winger trapped and unleashed a wicked volley which zipped beneath the legs of Alex Manninger.
Five minutes later, the Bulls doubled their tally. Roy Miller led a counterattack which caught the Juventus defense napping. His cross found Conor Chinn criminally unmarked. Chinn had no difficulty redirecting the ball into the net.
Juan Pablo Angel marked a substitute appearance with a goal. Once again the Juventus defense, lulled by the end of a miserable European season, fell asleep, allowing the former River Plate striker to ghost to the far post and easily tap home a cross from fellow substitute Dane Richards.
Amauri pulled one back for Juventus late in the game after twisting and turning at the top of the box.
A tidy 18,735 fans showed up to witness the friendly.
