The 31-year-old will attend "personal matters."In a terse statement released by the New England Revolution, the club announced today that Shalrie Joseph will take an indefinite leave of absence.
The Revs captain is a four time MLS Best XI member and was named a finalist for the league MVP award last year. However, the Grenadian international has only played one game in 2010 due to a persistent right hip flexor strain.
Joseph left the club on Saturday to attend "personal matters." With Taylor Twellman still unable to recover from a long-standing neck injury, the loss of Joseph deprives New England of its two best players.
