David Beckham has come back from adversity before, but that was in his younger days.

As more and more of his contemporaries ease themselves out of the beautiful game, it stands to reason that the end is in sight for Beckham's playing career.

Though it might have been ideal for him to take his leave after a final World Cup, his ruptured Achilles heel makes any appearance in the tournament almost impossible.

As it is, it will be a long and painful recovery for the England, AC Milan and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder.

Should he call time on his competitive career? Goal.com's USA editors present their viewpoints in the latest Kick Around.
