The New York Red Bulls have denied reports out of Spain that Raul could be headed to join up with the club in the near future.

Marca reported that the Real Madrid legend could be released from his contract and that the Major League Soccer franchise had offered Raul a contract that pay him close to the same figure that he currently earns in Spain.

The links of Raul to MLS have floated around for quite some time after the player admitted that he would like to play in America one day, but according to the Red Bulls, the current rumors aren't true.

New York's press representative responded to Goal.com's inquiry into the speculation  by saying, "I can tell you that from our side that there is nothing to these rumors."
