VIDEO: Seattle's Hero Fredy Montero At Press Conference
Seattle's Goal.com correspondent John Zielonka was on hand when Colombian striker Fredy Montero gave a press conference after scoring two goals and notching an assist versus the New York Red Bulls.
Seattle's shocking and comprehensive triumph over the New York Red Bulls was fueled in a large part by the energy and ability of young Colombian striker Fredy Montero.
Seattle's Goal.com correspondent John Zielonka was there as Montero spoke to the media with the help of a translator after the game.
"I want to make my own history," said the confident young player, when he was compared to Juan Pablo Angel, another Colombian striker now in MLS who also had a successful stint abroad in England.
Odds are that Montero may soon follow that same path, but Seattle fans are eager to enjoy him as part of the Sounders for as long as he stays.
