Everton Confirm Talks To Sign LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan

American striker could soon be at Goodison.

Everton chief executive Robert Elstone has revealed that the Toffees are officially in talks to bring LA Galaxy's USA international striker Landon Donovan to Merseyside.

The versatile forward is expected to join the Toffees on loan now that the MLS season has ended, in a deal similar to the one which has taken David Beckham from Galaxy to AC Milan.

"Landon is a player David Moyes has identified as someone he would like to bring to the club," Elstone told his club's official website.

"We are working to make that happen and hope we can reach agreement soon with all the appropriate parties."

Should the talks prove successful, the player will join the club on January 2.
