Carl Robinson Out For Regular Season With Facial Injury

The Toronto F.C. player will miss the rest of the regular season with an injury sustained in practice.

On Tuesday Toronto F.C. midfielder Carl Robinson injured his face in a collision on the train pitch. After a visit to a specialists on Wednesday the midfielder has decided to have surgery to correct a fractured facial bone.

The surgery will keep Robinson out of action for 6-8 weeks and will cost him the rest of the regular season, though a return in the late rounds of the playoffs remains a slight possibility.

TFC are currently three points back of a playoff spot and will have a chance to earn some much needed points on Saturday when they face a struggling San Jose team at BMO Field.
