The Columbus Crew host the expansion Seattle Sounders FC this Saturday in an important match for the league's newest team. The Sounders will attempt to break the Crew's MLS 22-game home unbeaten streak in an effort to secure a place in the playoffs.
For Seattle head coach Sigi Schmid and left winger Steve Zakuani it's a return to old stomping grounds. Schmid led the Crew to a Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup double in 2008.
Zakuani, the first overall pick in the MLS Superdraft, last year played for the University of Akron, which is 126 miles north of Columbus. In his last visit to the Ohio capital city, he netted two goals and two assists in a 4-3 overtime win against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
