Chivas USA Acquire Brazilian Striker Maicon Santos On Loan
Chivas USA has brought in Maicon Santos, a Brazilian striker, on loan. To make room, the club placed Kevin Harmse on the Disabled List.
Chivas USA has added Maicon Santos from Bonsucesso Futebol Clube of Brazil. The 25-year-old Brazilian forward has played for clubs in Tunisia, Libya, and Israel, as well as his native Brazil.
“Maicon is a strong forward who can give us a spark in the attacking third,” said Chivas USA Head Coach Preki. “He’s been training with us for a couple weeks and we’re looking forward to having him on the roster.”
With his P-1 work visa and international transfer certificate already in place, the striker will be available against Toronto FC on Saturday.
One player who won't be available against Toronto is ex-TFC man Kevin Harmse. The Canadian was added to the Disabled List due to right knee tendonitis.
