Argentinian Defender Walter Garcia Signs For New York
Argentinian defender Walter Garcia has signed for the New York Red Bulls.
The New York Red Bulls have signed Walter Garcia, an Argentinian defender. The 25-year-old joins from Quilmes Atlético Club of the Argentinean Second Division and has played for the Argentina Under-20 squad.
“We have been interested in bringing Walter into the club since the beginning of the year,” said New York sporting director Jeff Agoos. “We’re excited to have him on board and will use the remainder of the season to evaluate him.”
New York is currently mired in a six game losing streak and a 15 match winless run in Major League Soccer play. By now it's just a matter of building for next season, with the playoffs seemingly beyond the team with the worst record in MLS.
