Chivas USA Nets Colombian Defender Yamith Cuesta
Ante Razov and Jim Curtin have been placed on the disabled list just as defender Yamith Cuesta has signed on loan with Chivas USA.
Chivas USA has acquired defender Yamith Cuesta on loan from Colombian side Expreso Rojo. The 20-year-old Colombian will be available upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.
"Yamith is an exciting young player with good presence in the middle of the defense," said Chivas USA head coach Preki. "He has experience both in the Colombian league and with their Under-20 National Team, and we’re looking forward to having him join the squad."
In other moves, the Goats have placed defender Jim Curtin and striker Ante Razov on the disabled list, meaning neither will be available for selection in Major League Soccer for six matches.
Curtin has a tear in his left ankle which requires surgery likely to keep him out for the next four to six months. Razov has right ankle tendonitis.
