Shaquille O'Neill Challenges David Beckham
Forget Landon Donovan - Shaquille O'Neal is now calling David Beckham out.
One of the athletes who uses the social networking tool of Twitter most frequently is basketball player Shaquille O'Neal, more commonly known as Shaq.
.
Now O'Neal has used his Twitter account to challenge one of the world's most famous soccer players, David Beckham.
"Dear david beckham, I kno u heard about my shaq vs show, anyway u will never score a goal on me, I challenge you lil man"
O'Neal is starring in a new reality show where he challenges top athletes in different sports.
O'Neal did not wait long before sending a follow up to his first message.
"David beckham I kno u hear me, dnt be scared, dnt make me call u out, u will never score a goal on me"
It didn't seem to matter to the new Cleveland Cavaliers center that the Los Angeles Galaxy star plays a different sport.
"Dear david beckham, dnt make me tweet to 2 million people that yur scared of shaq, u betta respnd, if u scared get a dog"
Beckham has in fact declared himself a big basketball fan, but of the Los Angeles Lakers, O'Neal's former team. Beckham is a friend and admirer of Kobe Bryant, who famously fueded with O'Neal during part of their time together on the team.
"he can't score on me" boasted another O'Neal tweet.
Presumably, O'Neal plans to play goalkeeper against Beckham, though details of the challenge were not made clear on Twitter. At 7'1, O'Neal would be capable of blocking a lot of the goal area through his sheer size alone, but his reflexes may not be up to par as a shotblocker.
Still, O'Neal didn't seem to lack in confidence, if his final Twitter message was any indication.
"Its official, today is david beckham is scared of shaq, day, he should b scared, he can never score a goal on me."
