David Beckham was given a $1000 dollar fine by Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber after the Galaxy star had a bit of a confrontation with a fan at halftime of L.A.’s 2-2 draw with A.C. Milan July 19.

Beckham was seen calling a fan out of the stands for a scuffle during halftime of the match, and though the fight never took place Beckham’s actions were enough for Garber to shell out a fine.

“We support our players interacting with fans, whether it is at clinics, charity events or by high-fiving their supporters in the stands while celebrating a goal,” Garber said in a press release. “However, our players should never engage in conduct that can be interpreted as encouraging fans to come out of the stands and onto the field, regardless of the reason.”

Beckham and the Galaxy will be back in action Saturday when the travel to Kansas City to take on the Wizards.
