Pablo Campos will join up with Real Salt Lake tonight as he was traded from the San Jose Earthquakes.

Real Salt Lake has traded two draft picks to the San Jose Earthquakes for striker Pablo Campos. A second round 2010 SuperDraft pick, the same one received from FC Dallas in return for the rights to defender Kyle Davies, and a conditional 2011 pick made their way to the Bay Area, with the Brazilian striker coming the other way.

The 26-year-old will arrive in Utah tonight and travel with the team to play the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

"We’ve scouted Pablo now for two years and we are very excited about his potential," said Real Salt Lake General Manager Garth Lagerwey. "We look forward to him joining us and adding a new dimension to our attack."

The 6'3 forward combines technical play and a silky touch with his size. Finishing, however, has been an issue, as he only has two goals in nine starts for the 'Quakes.

With Yura Movsisyan departing for Randers FC in Denmark in January, RSL is hoping Campos can become the heir apparent to the burly targetman. Having an extra couple months to adjust before being expected to take the scoring mantle could help ease the pressure on Campos.
