Goal.com MLS Rankings: Moving Day in L.A.
Chivas USA falls out of second spot as Los Angeles finally moves up into the top ten in the Goal.com MLS Rankings.

1. Houston – No Ching, no Hainault, no Holden, no problem in Kansas City.(1)
2. D.C. United – Another impressive road performance yielded United one point when they should have had three in Saturday night's 1-1 draw in Columbus. On pure football, United might just be the best in the league, but they've got to find a way to consistently convert that football into victories. (3)
3. Chivas USA – It's moving day for the Goats. They drop one spot for now, but momentum seems to point towards a more precipitous drop in the upcoming weeks. (2)
4. Seattle – I suspect there will be a rave green fan or two shouting at the Dynamo in the Saturday afternoon matinée. (4)
5. Columbus – Two rather lukewarm performances in a row for the Crew. That'd be a problem if the Crew hadn't picked up four points in those games and had lost more than once in their past 12 games. (6)
6. Chicago – An impressive 2-1 win in Colorado on Saturday night should remind everyone why the Fire remains one of the top bets to lift MLS Cup. (7)
7. Colorado – There are still plenty of home games to come, but the Rapids need to do better than they did against Chicago on Saturday night in order to take advantage of them. (5)
8. Los Angeles – When the Galaxy is involved, it's best to act reactively rather than proactively. But this bump feels just about right. The Gals may just bore their way to the playoffs. (11)
9. Toronto FC – Chris Cummins will be pleased to see that Ali Gerba scored twice in Canada's 3-0 victory over Guatemala on Friday. (9)
10. Kansas City – There are significant defensive reliability issues when Jimmy Conrad isn't around to keep everyone in line. (8)
11. Real Salt Lake – This little indiscipline kick needs to disappear and fast if RSL wants to start making good on all the potential that seems to be ebbing away week by week. (10)
12. New England – “As I said to the players after the game, there are no complaints from me,” Revs coach Steve Nicol said after his decimated side lost in Los Angeles. “I don't think we could ask for too much more. The way we went about it and the effort and the attitude and the whole thing was great. Unfortunately, a couple of decisions from the officials meant we didn't get any points.” (12)
13. FC Dallas – FCD will take a three-match unbeaten streak into an important conference battle in Commerce City on Saturday night. (13)
14. San Jose – The Quakes sure could have used the two points they chucked away in Sandy. (14)
15. New York – “Obviously, we're going through a tough time right now,” Red Bulls midfielder Seth Stammler said after the Red Bulls' 23rd consecutive match without a win away from Giants Stadium. “This result doesn't help, but I thought we showed some character to get that first goal back and it seemed like we were going to get another one. A couple of mishaps in the back and you're down 2-0 early. We had a pretty big hill to climb back.” (15)
