In the tough Western Conference, the expansion Sounders are making some noise. Their victory over the Rapids gave the team breathing room in the table just when the Rapids were nipping at their heels.

Of all the impressive players on the field for Seattle in the 3-0, Nate Jaqua was the most active, scoring twice to keep the Sounders in the chase for the league lead.

In fact, Seattle only has the Houston Dynamo to catch now. The Texas club has 28 points, while the Sounders sit three back.

Goal.com captured some of Jaqua's responses in the press conference following the game.
