Sounders Sign 'Keeper Terry Boss
Goalkeeper Terry Boss has found a new home, closer to his Oregon home, with Seattle Sounders FC.
Seattle Sounders FC has signed goalkeeper Terry Boss. An Oregon native, Boss joins the club after being waived by the New York Red Bulls earlier in the year.
The 27-year-old will contend with Chris Eylander for a spot on the bench behind veteran Kasey Keller in goal.
"I was aware of Boss while he was playing in USL-2 with the Charlotte Eagles," said head coach Sigi Schmid. "He’s got good size, good range, and he works very hard. He had an injury setback last year, but he’s looked very sharp in his training with us and we’re happy to have him."
With the Eagles, Boss won the USL-2 goalkeeper of the year award in 2008.
