VIDEO: Bruce Arena Disappointed In Galaxy Loss
Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena diagnosed his team's main problem as the midfield, where the team clearly misses the quality of David Beckham.
Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena didn't blame the referee for his team's loss to Real Salt Lake, even if the officials had been harsh on Eddie Lewis tossing a ball lightly at a player on the ground.
Instead, Arena felt that his team needed to work harder against their opposition.
In particular, Arena believed the Real Salt Lake midfield was superior to the Galaxy one, as it was in this crucial area of the field where the Galaxy attack was mired and embattled time and again.
The loss to Real Salt Lake kept the Galaxy from building on their road win at Toronto and pushed the team back to .500 on the season.
The Galaxy have two wins, two losses and nine draws on the season.
Arena seemed to be making headway with the squad, but this Saturday showed that there is lot more to do in getting the squad ready to compete for a playoff spot.
