Oduro Traded From New York To Houston

Speedy forward Dominic Oduro is back in Texas, this time playing for the Houston Dynamo.

The struggling New York Red Bulls have shifted a player, perhaps looking to make a bigger acquisition, while the Houston Dynamo have bolstered their depth.

The Houston Chronicle reported that a deal was complete for the Dynamo to acquire forward Dominic Oduro from New York for two future draft picks.

Houston is familiar with 23-year-old Ghanaian-born player, who previously played for in-state rivals FC Dallas.

In New York, Oduro has only made one start.

“We played him several times when he was in Dallas, and he always performed,” Dynamo coach Dom Kinnear told the Chronicle.

Oduro has nine career goals in MLS and is known for his startling pace on the field.

Due to roster restrictions, Houston may have to trade a player or place someone on the injured list to make room for Oduro.
