Uncapped striker Patrick Nyarko is in line for a call by Ghana after national team coach, Milovan Rajevac, watched him in action in US Major League Soccer (MLS).
Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac, plans to call up Chicago Fire striker Patrick Nyarko soon, after having watched him in action for his MLS club at the weekend.
Nyarko, 23, was in action against defending champions Columbus Crew. He has started all six of the Fire's games this season and has a goal and two assists.
"This was his first opportunity to see Patrick," said Fire technical director, Frank Klopas. "He wants to bring him in for friendlies to take a closer look.
"Obviously Patrick is very excited. The good thing about him is that he's a level-headed kid."
Rajevac is overseas on a scouting mission for the Black Stars.
Ghana lead their qualifying group for the 2010 World Cup after they pipped Benin 1-0 in Kumasi last month.
The other two teams in their group, Mali and Sudan, played out a goalless draw also in March.
The Black Stars face a tough fixture away to mali in Bamako on JUne 7 in continuation of the qualifying tournament.
