Real Salt Lake Announce Espindola, Davies Captures
The Utah club administrators have squeaked two additions to the roster in before the transfer deadline. Striker Fabian Espindola and defender Kyle Davies belong to Real Salt Lake.

Ahead of the transfer deadline today, Real Salt Lake have made two
player acquisitions, re-acquiring forward Fabian Espindola and winning the
rights to defender Kyle Davies in a lottery.
Davies is an under-20 U.S. national team defender who most recently played for English club Southampton. His rights were allocated to RSL in a lottery by Major League Soccer today.
Espindola, he of the botched backflip that injured his ankle, played with RSL in the 2007 and 2008 seasons, appearing in 24 games. He notched seven goals for the club in that time. The 23-year-old Argentine moved to Venezuelan club Deportivo Anzoategui after his contract was not picked up in the 2009 season, however, the Salt Lakers have reversed that decision and decided to bring Espindola back into the fold.
The club awaits an ITC and clearance for Venezuela, but did not have an estimate on how long that would take.
“Davies is another good young player to add to our stable talent, and Espindola is a proven striker we've had in our past, so we're really excited about both additions,” said general manager Garth Lagerwey to Goal.com.
Lagerwey also confirmed that, as the roster stands currently, RSL won't have to make any cuts to accommodate the players. Neither of the new additions is expected to participate in RSL's match against the New York Red Bulls this weekend.
