MLS Team Of The Week: Round 4

Week four of the Major League Soccer season saw two 0-0 draws and one 3-3 thriller. Goal.com puts together a best XI from the weekend's action.

Goalkeeper:

Donovan Ricketts (Los Angeles Galaxy): With performances like the one the Jamaican gave against Chivas USA, the LA defense can stay as bad as last year, but they'll only concede about half the amount goals.

Defense:

Carey Talley (Chivas USA): Drew the red for Alan Gordon to alleviate the pressure on Chivas, and his free kick delivery continues to be an underrated offensive weapon for the Goats.

Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards): Any defense that comes out of Qwest Field with a clean sheet this season will have been marshaled perfectly.

Jamison Olave (Real Salt Lake): Capped off a commanding defensive display with a crucial equalizer as RSL won two on the trot for the first time since 2007.

Matt Besler (Kansas City Wizards): The rookie is contributing well, and helped keep a second clean sheet in a row.

Midfield:

Marco Pappa (Chicago Fire): A goal and an assist against San Jose showed why Denis Hamlett persists with Pappa instead of Chris Rolfe.

Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Chicago Fire): The way he turned the San Jose game on the head after coming in at half shows why Denis Hamlett is incorrect to persist with Patrick Nyarko instead of 'Teomoc.

Javier Morales (Real Salt Lake): Last week he let Robbie Findley steal the show, but this week Morales was back to directing play and making crucial differences to the scoreline.

Darren Huckerby (San Jose Earthquakes): The sublime trap by Huckerby on Chris Leitch's long ball to create the first goal merits a slot in this team, regardless of Huckerby's dazzling play all game.

Attack:

Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids): Leads MLS in goals. If he stays healthy, it could be hard to catch him.

Brian McBride (Chicago Fire): His visionary and slick strike against the Earthquakes was reminiscent of a man half his age.
