Seattle Signs Levesque And Scott From USL Sounders
Seattle Sounders FC sign Roger Levesque and Zach Scott ahead of the 2009 MLS opener on Thursday.
Major League Soccer's latest club addition, Seattle Sounders FC, has made two personnel additions of its own. The club has signed Roger Levesque and Zach Scott from the USL-1 Sounders.
Both players are 28 and have been training with the club since January.
Levesque is a striker and ranks fifth in franchise history with 27 goals.
"Roger is a player who has been committed to the Seattle area," said Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid. "He is very active and has a very good work rate."
Scott, a native of Hawaii, has played seven seasons in Seattle as a defender.
"Zach is a very hard-nosed consistent defender, who takes a lot of pride in his defending play," said Schmid. "He helps solidify our defense and make us stronger."
