Francisco Lima, formerly of the San Jose Earthquakes, has decided life in the MLS wasn’t for him and has reportedly signed with Serie C1 side Taranto.

He spent half of last season with the ‘Quakes as a holding midfielder and played well for the team that nearly made the post season after an impressive second half.

The 37-year-old Brazilian is a veteran of 11 professional clubs, most recently with San Jose, and before that most notably Brescia, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Roma.

In his time with San Jose, Lima made 14 appearances but didn’t manage get on the scoresheet. He did manage to contribute two assists.
