DC United Re-Sign Defender Bryan Namoff

The 29-year-old fullback has re-signed with his first and only club, D.C. United.

D.C. United have re-signed veteran fullback Bryan Namoff for what will be his ninth season with the club.

Major League Soccer's most successful club, D.C., are going about rebuilding a squad that failed to make the playoffs in 2008. Namoff's re-signing follows closely behind that of Santino Quaranta and Marc Burch. The 29-year-old was an integral part of the United defense from the fullback position, and has been for many years.

"It’s rare for professional athletes to remain with one organization their entire career and I admire those able to do so," said Namoff. "I admire those who do and understand that it takes a lot of dedication and support.  I’m proud to have started my career at a prestigious club like United and am excited to remain a part of the team. I’m glad that I have the continued faith and confidence in my abilities from the club and fans, alike, and I plan to continue to develop as a player. I’m now looking forward to continuing my career here, with an emphasis on winning more championships."

Namoff is tied for fourth in overall appearances for United at 169, and has one international cap.
