Marc Burch has re-signed with D.C. United, the club announced. The fullback arrived from the Columbus Crew in 2007 and became a crucial member of the United defense, playing in 28 games in 2008.

“We are pleased to have re-signed Marc to a new deal,” said United General Manager Dave Kasper.  “He has adapted well to playing in our defense and has become an important player for us.  We look forward to his future contributions to our club.”

Drafted in 2006 by the LA Galaxy, Burch moved to Columbus later that year. The fullback makes up part of D.C.'s defensive plans next year, as the club are still in negotiations with right back Bryan Namoff.
