VIDEO: Crew React To Cup Win

The Columbus Crew had a fantastic season and following their first ever MLS Cup title, striker Alejandro Moreno, defender Frankie Hejduk and head coach Sigi Schmid reacted to the victory.

With their first ever MLS Cup in the books, the Columbus Crew can finally sit back and revel in the amazing season they just completed. Beating New York 3-1 on Sunday, the Crew are officially the top team in the MLS, a label they had held for most of the season.

The players and coaches alike were thoroughly pleased with the performance that the side put on display in the final, but it was the team’s unity throughout the season that got them there.

“Well I think we did the things we’ve been doing all year,” said the team’s leading scorer Alejandro Moreno. “Certainly New York came out and impressed us in the beginning of the game, we were taken back by that a little bit. We’ve been responding all year and that is certainly what we did today.”
