The Rossoneri have been keen on bringing back the striker from Genoa, with the two clubs currently co-owning the imposing forward.

Having fired in a whopping 19 goals for the Grifoni this term, Borriello warned that he would not return to Milan to sit on the bench. However, now it seems as if will be playing at San Siro next term.

According to Telenova, Milan have paid Genoa €10 million to take Borriello back to San Siro. As part of the deal, the Rossoneri have given the Rossoblu Di Gennaro, who is a versatile striker.

The deal is yet to be confirmed by the Rossoneri. Milan were keen to quickly fill the vacant role left by Alberto Gilardino following his move to Fiorentina on Wednesday.

Borriello is currently on international duty with La Nazionale. No doubt he will be hoping to blast the Azzurri to glory in Austria and Switzerland next month.
