The visitors held the home side off in a Cascadia Cup battle to seal a spot in the postseason for the fourth year running.

The Seattle Sounders are in the playoffs for the fourth time in four seasons of existence after fighting out a 0-0 draw on the road against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The home side was forced into two injury changes in a hard-fought first half, as John Thorrington and Darren Mattocks both withdrew.

In the second half, Seattle goalkeeper Michael Gspurning came up with a number of key saves to keep his side in the game, before Camilo missed a golden chance to win the game at the death.

Seattle clinched a playoff berth with the result, and currently sits in fourth in the Western Conference. Right behind in fifth place is Vancouver, currently holding FC Dallas off by a slim margin.
