Didn't always inspire confidence, nearly gifting the ball to Kane after a mix-up with Reid. Rooted to the spot for Snodgrass' free kick which rattled the post. Largely untroubled otherwise, and dealt with what little came his way well.
A solid all-round performance, defending admirably and attacking well. Linked to good effect with Jarvis. Drove into the box and offloaded to Noble before receiving his deflected return pass and slotting the ball into the goal with calmness and composure.
Burst up the right flank with pace, verve and direction. Could have had a handful of assists but for the profligacy of his team-mates. The Ivorian put the ball on a plate for Cole, who somehow missed from close range. Demel was a constant threat, and never gave Pilkington a sniff.
Gave a huge performance for the Hammers, making countless blocks and interceptions. Carried the ball out of defense well and marshaled the rest of the defense. Strong and commanding, he routinely ended Norwich attacks. Tugged by Bennett in the opening minutes, with referee Clattenburg pointing to the spot.
Less imposing than Reid, and occasionally looked a weak point. Allowed Kane to escape behind him before bringing him down inside the box, but Clattenburg didn't adjudge it to be a foul. Not always composed on the ball. A threat from set-pieces in Norwich's box.
Quiet going forward, carving out few chances and rarely threatening the Norwich goal. Could have an assist when Vaz Te headed his cross against the post. Strong defensively though, working very hard off the ball.
Struggled with the pace of the match, especially against the hustle and bustle of Tettey. Missed an easy chance mid-way through the first half, scuffing a shot towards the bottom corner and allowing Bunn to make a fantastic low stop.
Controlled the midfield for West Ham, battling to win the ball but showing composure when on it. Stepped up to take the penalty, expertly dispatching the ball into the top corner and sending Bunn the wrong way. Had a hand in the second goal, as his pass deflected into the path of O'Brien.
Had the beating of Bennett, driving at the young, out of position full-back and making him look slow and lumbering. Final ball was dinked into the box without finding a claret and blue shirt too often though.
Ricardo Vaz Té
Peripheral, ineffective and work-shy. Less of a threat down the right than Demel and didn't support Cole enough. Routinely drew large groans from the home support. Did hit the post with a header, but it was a rare bright moment in an otherwise abject display. Subbed with 10 minutes remaining.
Engaged in physical battles with Norwich's center backs and worked hard, but his performance will be remembered for a horrific miss: a yard out, unmarked and with the goal gaping, Cole somehow managed to blast the ball over the bar. Received pressure few chances though.
Dived the wrong way for Noble's penalty, though would have struggled to save the ball even if he'd guessed the right way. Had little chance with O'Brien's shot, having made a tremendous save to deny Collison moments earlier.
Cultured with the ball at his feet, passing the ball out of defense, and was largely untroubled by Cole, with te striker preferring to target Turner. Won a number of important headers.
Enjoyed the more physical tussles with Cole. Blocked Nolan's pull-back aimed at Cole, but only as far as O'Brien who tucked in the rebound with uncharacteristic composure.
Struggled to contain Jarvis, who made him look labored and immobile. Adjudged to have illegally tugged back Reid by Clattenburg, conceding the penalty from which Noble opened the scoring. Very harsh.
Totally struggled to contain the overlaps of Demel, who burst past the Scottish full-back with ease on numerous occasions. Even allowed the ineffective Vaz Te to outjump him at the far post and head against the post. Scored in injury-time, but the goal couldn't gloss over a poor and mistake-ridden performance from the full back.
Came out second best in the midfield battle. Didn't pick up Nolan or Collison off the ball or track their runs. Indecisive on the ball, rarely probed with his passing. Lacked the energy and ferocity of the suspended Johnson. Replaced by Fox.
Busy and combative in midfield. He covered a huge amount of ground, carrying the ball forward and committing West Ham's midfielders. Diligent in defense too.
Hit the post with a free-kick from 25 yards, leaving Jaaskelainen rooted to the spot. Gave away several needless free kicks and didn't support the vulnerable Bennett enough, nor did he attack O'Brien enough.
Went close with a drilled effort from the edge of the box, but sent his shot just wide of the post. Provided little help to Martin, who struggled to contain Demel. Tried to use the ball progressively and support the attack, but didn't have much joy.
Didn't impact himself on the match in the first half, receiving little of the ball and unable to link up to any great effect with Kane. Brighter in the second half, finding holes and driving towards goal, but still lack end product was was taken off by Hughton.
Received little supply and never really impacted the himself on the match, understandably given his age and long spell on the sidelines through injury. Withdrawn mid-way through the second half.
