  • 90' + 3'
Just over a minute or so left. The USA holding on here late on. Probably the result the game deserved, with Turkey getting a goal.
  • 90' + 1'
Four minutes added on. Dempsey tried to pick out Bradley and has it blocked away.

  • 87'
Green trying to sneak in down the left. Has his cross blocked.
  • 85'
Chandler with a bad turnover and Brooks fouls to stop the break.
  • 84'
Turkey still attacking late on, but the U.S. back line has settled in a little.

Corner for the USA now. Had to wait on a Turkish sub, and then the corner is wasted.

Altidore just can't get the finish. He's had chances. It's just not going his way in front of goal today. A really good showing from him in every other way.
  • 79'
Now the USA has it back and has opened up Turkey with a ball over the top to Altidore. The big strike floated one across the goal and Mix couldn't get the right touch in front of goal.
  • 77'
Turkey breaking forward in waves. Putting plenty of pressure on Brooks and Yedlin, who are trying to get into the game.
  • 71'
Altidore makes the run through onto a ball from Mix, and he's caleld for a foul.

What a great ball from Zusi to pick on Green coming down the left. The youngster couldn't get the touch he needed, but that was dangerous.

One good ball over the top just opened the USA up. Chandler was out of position, but Guzan makes a big save to keep it 2-0.
  • 58'
The USA moving the ball around well still and still grinding in the attack. Turkey hasn't had as much of this early run of the second half.
  • 53'
Davis slipping down the line again, throws another cross through the box and Zusi hits the side netting! To be fair, Davis handled the ball while it was out of bounds before he headed down the line.
  • 52'
    GoalClint Dempsey
  • 52'
GOAL!!! 2-0 to the USA, and it's the captain getting him one. On the doorstep, Bradley had rushed forward and played in Davis, who whipped it in. Turkey with some terrible defending lets it slide through and Dempsey taps it home.
  • 50'
Guzan called into action. Turkey still showing a threat, and Brooks maybe needs to be in a bit better position.
  • 47'
Looks like a bit more of the two holding midfielder look, with Dempsey dropping off some. Bradley and Beckerman seem to both be holding, or at the very least playing flatter than with Jones in the holding role alone.

Second half is off and running.
  • Here's your changes. Beckerman, Brooks and Guzan come in with Besler Howard and Jones coming off.
  • A strong first half for the USA. There will be some changes in the second half. Turkey has had its chances, but the USA has as well, with one goal in and one called off for a foul on Altidore. Dempsey and Altidore have been very active up front, and of course Michael Bradley has played his part with Jermaine Jones in the middle of the park.
  • Halftime and the the USA goes tot he break up 1-0.
  • 44'
Another corner for Turkey. The defense for the USA has been suspect. Turkey goes short, swings it across the top of the box and then back wide. The cross in is pushed out and Jones clears it.
  • 41'
USA making plenty of moves forward. Johnson down the right has been dangerous. Davis and Zusi have been well involved.
  • 37'
Strange series of events there. Altidore is taken down as he pushed the ball past a defender, Dempsey, at full stride, runs onto it, and he gets taken down, no call again. No goal, but another dangerous attack from the USA.
  • 36'
Jones took a hard hit to the chest from the ball that looks like it took the wind out of him.
  • 35'
It comes back in and Jones has to make a block to keep Turkey off the board.
  • 34'
Corner for Turkey, Dempsey heads it away.
  • 31'
Altidore runs down a lost cause and makes something of it, winning the ball and a free kick after a mistake from a defender.
  • 29'
What a way to get the scoring started. Johnson with his first, and the attack for the USA has been very good. His take of that shot first time, on the volley, was special.

    GoalFabian Johnson
GOAL USA!! Fabian Johnson breaks forward with a darting run and is picked out over the top of the defense by Bradley with a glorious ball. He takes it first time and it's 1-0 to the home side.
  • 25'
Foul won by Davis as he brought it through the middle. He'll take it from a decent angle to whip it in, and Turkey has some issues getting it clear.
  • 23'
Davis tries to clip a cross with his right and floats it over everybody. The movement up front for the USA has been great, and this game is wide open.
  • 21'
Turkey looking very dangerous. But the USA answers quickly with Altidore setting up Bradley, who has his shot blocked.
  • 20'
USA just got away with another one. Ball in is not dealt with and Turkey got a really nice look at goal but sent it wide.
  • 18'
Dempsey again trying to take on a defender. He's looked very much in the mood.
  • 15'
Foul called on Altidore, wasn't much in it and it cost the USA a goal. Altidore finished, which is the good thing, but the goal will not stand.
  • 14'
The USA calms it down and makes a nice move forward. Altidore with a nice turn to beat a defender and tries to get a cross in to Dempsey and wins a corner.
  • 12'
SAHIN!! He hit the post. Some really questionable stuff at the back for the USA, and Turkey probably should be in front after that move.
  • 10'
Dempsey getting plenty of touches and flashing a good bit early on here. He looks healthy to me at the moment. His last ball, however, was not a good one.
  • 8'
Altidore now trying to pick out Dempsey, but the ball is just a touch strong and the Sounders' star can't bring it down.
  • 7'
After a slight stoppage, Dempsey finds himself on the end of a Zusi ball and tried to clip it to Altidore on the back post. Blocked out and Altidore makes a move on it but is called for a foul.
  • 4'
Good job by Jones of tracking back and stopping a dangerous attack from Turkey.
  • 3'
Dempsey tries to fight his way through a tackle and is taken down, but no foul given.
  • 2'
Fast start to this one. Altidore, Bradley and Johnson trying to get involved on the ball, but neither side has been able to hold it much.
  • 1'
    And we're off and running.
  • We're just a few minutes away from kick off. We have a couple of guys on the ground at Red Bull Arena. You can follow along with them on Twitter, @ThomasFloyd and @SoccerByIves
  • For Turkey, here's the team though there seems to be some doubt over the formation/tactics: Kivrak, Balta, Dogan, Gonul, Inan, Erdinc, Sahin, Ozyakup, Tufan, Erkin, Camdal
  • So Brad Davis gets his chance to make a mark on this team. A good place for him to start and plenty of talent around him. His service could be key if the team comes out with Johnson on the right and Chandler on the left, where those two aren't on their stronger foot for crossing.
  • Klinsmann has his full force ready today, and the starting lineup is a strong one. Howard is in goal with Chandler, Johnson, Cameron and Besler in front of him. Jones, Bradley, Brad Davis and Graham Zusi make up the midfield with captain Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore up top.
  • Hello and welcome in to Goal's LIVE call of the USA's friendly against Turkey. Big day today for the USA and a different kind of test to the team's last outing.
