Wasn't tested much by Panama as the U.S. defense kept the Central American side out of the box. Was more alert in the second half. Almost got into a fight with a Panama player.
Continues to be a valuable veteran presence in the center of the defense.
Had his best game of the Gold Cup, matching Luis Tejada's physical game and winning headers.
Moved well in the first half and marked his man well throughout.

Was good moving forward but made some horrendous passing decisions. He took a 35-yard attempt when he had two forwards near the box.
Decent night but was partially responsible for Dempsey’s goal as he should have been in front of Donovan.

Henriquez was over aggressive at times and was shown a yellow card as a result.
Wasn’t able to have much of an impact in the possession aspects of the game and was pulled off early for Renteria. Had one of the best attempts of the game though.

Created a lot of chances early in the second half when it appeared as if Panama was gaining momentum but was overall contained by U.S. midfield.

Despite not having Bilas Perez, he continued to be lethal using his physical prowess to attack the U.S. defense.
