  • And that's it. The game lived up to the expectations as Belgium is clearly a class above the U.S. in talent. Didn't help that the Stars and Stripes were missing several key defenders and Michael Bradley, who would have made a big difference. This is Alex Labidou (@SportsLab), feel free to tweet at me to talk about the game.

The U.S. is attempting to get back into the game but there's no plan on offense. A lot of long balls which Klinsmann absolutely despises.

    Goal Christian Benteke
  • 56'
Benteke gets one in!!!! I called it a few moments ago, Belgium's ball movement has been superb.
  • 54'
Belgium's confidence is clearly growing out there. Lukaku is dribbling past U.S. defenders at will. Wouldn't be surprising if the team scores soon.

  • Eddie Johnson for Altidore, Brad Guzan for Tim Howard.
  • Halftime is here. So far the U.S. has played better than expected considering that several starters are out. The odds are still against the team but a draw would be a very good result for the Stars and Stripes.

Tim Howard is hard at work tonight, he's made three crucial saves already and its not halftime yet.
  • 41'
    SubstitutionMousa Dembele Christian Benteke

Despite having a poor start, the U.S. are actually leading on possession with 52 percent of the ball. Belgium has been playing counter attack very effectively.
  • 10'
The patchwork U.S. lineup is playing as expected. Poor passing, lacking communication on defense. Jurgen Klinsmann will have to field some questions for deciding to pick Goodson and Davis over Besler and Gomez.
  • 6'
    Goal Kevin Mirallas
  • 6'
Crazy sequence of events see Belgium score its first goal. Altidore had a chance right in front of goal but couldn't find the right touch on the ball and on a counter, Mirallas burned the U.S.. The winger beat Cameron and Gonzalez leaving Howard exposed. There was also a poor clearance by Goodson on the play.
