Awkward set of events as Goodson almost runs into Howard who has the ball. Luckily, nothing happened.
  • 77'
Looks like both Boyd and Altidore are about to come on.
  • 74'
Despite being up 3-1, the U.S. will be frustrated if it doesn't score any more goals.
  • 72'
    GoalH. Gómez
GOAL!!!! The U.S. finally break through the A&B defense. The team moved the ball around well in the box and after two shots were blocked from Bradley and Donovan, Gomez scored off the rebound.
  • 70'
A&B James blocks a point blank header from the U.S.. If A&B loses this match, they can still hang their heads high.
  • 67'

  • 64'
GOAL!!!! A&B fights its way back into the game. Supersub Byers beats Onyewu with his pace and is one on one with Howard. Byers easily finished past the GK.

Altidore and Boyd are warming up on the sidelines. Klinsmann is trying to pad up the U.S. lead.
  • 58'
    Correction that was Gomez.
  • 58'
Dempsey misses a clear sitter with his shot banging the cross bar. The U.S. finishing has been poor tonight.
  • 57'
    SubstitutionJ. Torres Oguchi Onyewu
  • 56'
Torres is on the sideline. Onyewu is coming in for him. Looks like Bocanegra will likely slide to the left.
  • 55'
The medics are bringing in a stretcher for Torres. Let's see who is coming in for him.
  • 54'
Uh-oh, looks like the U.S. left back situation just got worse. An A&B player collided with Torres' leg and the player is still on the field twitching in pain.
  • 51'
Credit A&B, the team is still trying to press the U.S. and regain possession.
  • 47'
The U.S. starts the second half clearly aiming to attack. Remember goal differential plays a huge part of World Cup qualifying.
  • 45'
Second half starts and A&B has the ball. Can the U.S. build on its lead?
  • I'll answering questions on twitter with my @sportslab account during half time. Feel free to contact me there.
  • First half ends and the U.S. clearly looks disappointed even though its up 2-0. There were several easy opportunities that weren't converted.

  • 42'

  • 39'
This is what I am talking about. A&B almost had a chance to score as Murtagh took a strong shot from outside the box. Luckily, Goodson was there to block.
  • 36'
Corner lands into the hands of A&B GK. Strangely he throws the ball out of bounds.
  • 35'
Better job by the U.S., Dempsey had his shot blocked but he followed through and test the A&B defense. Corner.
  • 34'
Again, Donovan shows what's been the U.S. problem all game. Runs into the box go unrewarded as he decided to pass instead of shoot.
  • 33'
Gomez forces a corner but should have gotten a foul call. He was clearly pushed on his way to the box.
  • 30'
U.S. fans sound their frustration as the team continues to get into the box and fail to score. Is it time to make a change at striker?
  • 25'
Once again, the U.S. is playing a dangerous game here. A&B would be more than happy to go into halftime with just a one goal deficit.
  • 23'
Gomez missed an easy chance there. He should put it in the back of the net.
  • 22'
Despite completely dominating, the U.S. is only up 1-0. With the slippery field, the U.S. needs to take advantage. A mistake can happen at any time.
  • 20'
Close call by ref Hugo Cruz. Dempsey thought he was fouled in the box and took a while to get up but the ref wasn't buying it.
  • 18'

  • Anthem's finished and the game is about to start. Big expectations for the U.S. in this match.

  • Have any questions about the match? Follow me on twitter @sportslab and feel free to shoot me a tweet.
  • For Antigua and Barbuda, the team is employing a five man midfield with three defenders. Surprising considering that you would expect the underdogs to bunker down. It looks like they might try to attack the U.S..
  • For the U.S., Klinsmann has decided to stick with Herculez Gomez up top, keeping Jozy Altidore on the bench. The big surprise is that Jose Torres, a central midfielder, will be playing as left back. Since Klinsmann's arrival, Torres has been utilized in a variety of positions including left midfield and attacking mid.
  • Some interesting tactical decisions from both teams.
  • Some interesting stats heading into the match. This is the first time that the U.S. has faced Antigua & Barbuda. Their opponent is real minnow with a land mass of only 107 square miles. Yet, Antigua and Barbuda cruised through the second round of qualifying, earning five wins out of a possible six and averaging nearly five goals a game.
  • Welcome to Goal.com's LIVE commentary of the United States World Cup qualifier against Antigua & Barbuda. This is Alex Labidou (@sportslab on twitter) and I will be giving you my insights throughout the game. It is Jurgen Klinsmann's first World Cup qualifier and the field conditions here at Tampa are very poor. It's like a monsoon out here.
