  • Redknapp's QPR however will have to go back to the drawing board after a dire display in this London Derby, with a midfield that looks disjointed, an ineffective attack, and a porous defence. It may yet be a long season for the newly promoted side. Thank you for joining us today!
  • 90' + 2'
Despite a late last ditch effort from Remy and an ensuing corner, the whistle blows here and the final score stands Tottenham 4-0 QPR. It has been a superb day for Pochettino's men who have played champagne football at times and are rewarded with a spot at the top of the Premier League,
  • 90'
Dembele makes a fantastic turn in the middle of the pitch and a step forward to unleash a shot that goes over the bar. The fourth official announces there will be two minutes of extra time.
  • 88'
NEARLY from Zamora! The ball is loose in the Tottenham box and falls kindly for the substitute, who sidefoots it over the crossbar from a very lateral position.
  • 87'
Spurs continue to roam forward when they can but with far less vigour than before. Lamela and Eriksen still look bright and lively as the home team rides out what's left of this game.
  • 85'
Comfortable now from Tottenham, able to keep possession easily and play the ball around as they please. This match is almost over and they know that they're headed to the summit of the league after two match days.
  • 83'
A superb last-ditch sliding tackle from Caulker prevent Rose from racing clear through the defence and in on the goal alone about 25 yards from goal.
  • 82'
Ohhh QPR have scored but it's ruled out! Barton plays a good corner towards the front post but Rose has been fouled and has his hand raised; the ball hits his hand and deflects into the net but nobody is surprised when the foul is whistled and a free kick awarded to Tottenham.
  • 81'
Eriksen races down the left, causing Ferdinand to cut across and put the ball out of play. The ball is judged to have come off of the Spurs midfielder, much to his dismay, and the throw in is awarded to the visitors.
  • 80'
    SubstitutionEmmanuel Adebayor Roberto Soldado
A snapshot from Caulker after a deflection near the box looks like it may trouble Lloris, but the French goalkeeper reacts very well to jump onto the ball. Soldado comes on for Adebayor.
  • 78'
Dier caps off his home debut for Spurs with a confident interception back towards his own keeper. The 20 year old now has two goals in his first two games for Spurs and looks very assured in the back.
  • 76'
Soldado is warming up on the sideline as QPR race forward. Isla looks like he's caught in two minds and he sends a cross right into Lloris, and the opportunity once again goes begging for the visitors.
  • 74'
    SubstitutionMatt Phillips B. Zamora
Redknapp rolls the dice again, sending on Zamora for Phillips to try and give his side a pair of fresh legs up front. Moments later, Green pulls off a great save on Kane to prevent this from becoming even worse!
  • 73'
That's poor from Remy, who's muscled off the ball all too easily deep in Tottenham territory to let it roll out of play for a Lloris goal kick.
  • 72'
Ferdinand clears out Dier's cross to concede a corner to Tottenham. Lamela tries to curl it into the box, but Traore clears to give the visitors breathing room before Adebayor gets the ball in an offside position.
  • 70'
With little more than 20 minutes to go, the question tonight seems to be how many more Tottenham will score rather than if QPR can claw a few goals back into this. Stranger things have happened in the Premier League but the visitors have been shown up, shorn of ideas and with poor execution.
  • 69'
    SubstitutionNacer Chadli Harry Kane
  • 68'
    SubstitutionLeroy Fer Alejandro Faurlin
Both managers make a change, as Fer makes way for Faurlin for the visitors and Kane comes on for Chadli who scored two goals today.
  • 67'
This is ravenous football from Spurs who continue to pour forward. They would have perhaps had another chance had Lamela's pass not been intercepted by Caulker in the box.
  • 66'
Should this result hold, Tottenham will head to the summit of the Premier League on goal differential. Following a superb display so far today and a gritty win last week, Pochettino will be nothing but proud of his side's tenacity and creativity.

    GoalEmmanuel Adebayor
WHAT A SUPERB GOAL FROM SPURS!!! Adebayor makes it four! Just when QPR were starting to look comfortable, Rose races down the left with acres of space after his side once again win the ball in the midfield. He squares it for the striker to run onto, leaving Ferdinand in his dust, and Adebayor clinically sweeps it past Green for his first of the match!
  • 64'
    Yellow CardLeroy Fer
The past few minutes have been QPR's best perhaps all match. Fer tangles with Capoue in the box to lunge onto a loose ball, but his foot is very high and he's booked for catching the midfielder on his leg.
  • 62'
Ohhh nearly something from the corner, as Caulker awkwardly headed it down softly, letting Tottenham clear without too much trouble. The visitors regain possession after the clearance, however, giving them solid time on the ball which has been all too rare this match.
  • 61'
Capoue knocks Phillips over as he lunges in for the ball, letting Baron draft a free kick towards the back post. Rose heads it out for a corner.
  • 59'
    SubstitutionNabil Bentaleb Mousa Dembele
Pochettino sends on Dembele for Bentaleb in a like-for-like substitution - the first of the match for Tottenham.
  • 58'
An excellent individual moment from Eriksen. He steals the ball about 15 yards from the box, takes a touch to dribble, and sets himself up for a shot that drills over Green's goal.
  • 57'
QPR carve out a rare half-chance, with Remy floating the ball towards the back post for a backpedaling Vertonghen to head out before the lurking Phillips could get onto it.
  • 56'
Fer commits a foul in the midfield and Spurs take the ensuing free kick quickly, playing it flat on the pitch out wide to the left.
  • 54'
Adebayor's backheel robs the ball from QPR deep in their own half and it takes some experienced defending from Ferdinand to shepherd the ball over the byline with Lamela anxiously trying to take a shot!
  • 52'
Traore does excellent to intercept Adebayor's pass to Lamela; the striker found himself with space in a very deep area and tried to get the ball to the Argentine who was central on the edge of the box, but the defender raced over quickly.
  • 51'
Eriksen takes a corner short and plays it deeper to his team before receiving the return pass and crossing it into the box. It's deflected out, then Spurs regain possession, and they look to build from their defence.
  • 49'
Decent chance for QPR! From the corner, Caulker rises very well under little marking. He's aiming for the far post but finds his header whistling wide to the relief of Lloris.
  • 48'
Early signs here look very similar to the first half, with QPR struggling to string passes together and Spurs always looking to press and intercept. The visitors do win a corner however after Vertonghen slides on the byline to keep Remy from turning into the penalty area.
  • 47'
Dier wins the ball outside the box and plays it square to Lamela, who tries an ambitious effort that goes over the crossbar.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionRichard Dunne Nedum Onuoha
The second half begins with a substitute, as Redknapp looks to change formation with Onuoha on for Dunne to let the side have 4 defenders in the back. Lamela tracks back to dispossess Barton and win his side a high throw in.
  • Needless to say, Redknapp's return to White Heart Lane has not gone quite as he would have liked. He'll absolutely want to contain Eriksen and Lamela in the second half while rolling the dice and trying to score quickly - otherwise this could turn even worse for QPR.
  • In the following 45 minutes, Pochettino will want his team to do exactly what they have been - break quickly and cleverly. Redknapp will want his side to just maintain possession better and avoid giving up the ball in such dangerous areas, which has already cost his side massively.
  • 45' + 1'
And that's the half! Tottenham have put on a clinic, growing more comfortable with each goal they put past QPR. It's been the Lamela show at White Heart Lane, and it's incredibly difficult to see how QPR are going to get back into this without a drastic and immediate change next half.
  • 45'
Eriksen keeps the corner alive after an initial clearance with a brilliant first touch to keep the ball from rolling out and he's nearly able to whip the ball across the box again. This is top class football from Tottenham today!
  • 44'
The home side are incredibly comfortable in possession, having enjoyed nearly all of it since the third goal. Adebayor nearly scores a fourth after Eriksen keeps the ball alive in the box, and Spurs have another corner!
  • 42'
After several minutes with nothing going, QPR manage to win a throw-in around the halfway line but are unable to make anything of it. They lose possession to Tottenham once again and just seem to have no plan to get around the midfield.
  • 41'
At the heart of this performance from the home side are Lamela are Eriksen, opening up spaces and playing beautiful passes for their onrushing teammates. The 3 QPR centre-backs have failed to contain the duo and are dearly paying the price.
  • 39'
Every goal has given Tottenham more and more confidence and marginalized QPR further out of this match. Harry Redknapp must be counting down the seconds until half time because the visitors have offered almost nothing so far this match.

    GoalNacer Chadli
CHADLI SCORES AFTER A SUPERB RUN FROM LAMELA! The Argentine lets the ball roll past him, runs away from the centre-backs towards the left of the pitch and dinks the ball across the box for Chadli to head dominantly past Green into the net!
  • 35'
Pochettino's side are comfortable in possession, deftly playing the ball laterally and backwards as they look to find yet another opening here. For the moment, QPR are chasing ghosts as they continue to struggle mightily in this match.
  • 33'
QPR have no answer going forward as they struggle to create much of anything. On the pitch it's clear that Spurs have the momentum and are simply outplaying the visitors, often by creating space quickly in the midfield before playing it wide and breaking forward.
  • 31'
Spurs press forward immediately looking for yet another goal and QPR look like they have no answer at the moment. Eriksen's creativity and probing is unsettling the back three and the visitors desperately need to do something here before this runs away from them!

AND DIER SCORES FROM THE CORNER!!! The ball is played in towards the near post, and as Dier is running towards the corner flag, he sends a glancing header in towards the top of the net. Green tries to keep it out but fails as the defender scores for the second week running!!!
  • 29'
Appeals for a handball from the home side, but the referee refuses to award one. The ball may have just hit Traore's hand after Eriksen's deep pass in the box to Chadli but it goes out for a corner-kick.
  • 28'
Vertonghen does very well to dispossess Remy in his box after Isla found the striker following some good work down his stretch of the field.
  • 27'
Capoue wins the ball back from the visitors and plays it wide to Dier, who sends a cross towards the box for Caulker to clear. QPR are a little too slow to play their passes, giving Spurs time to regroup and intercept.
  • 26'
It's played in dangerously by Barton but takes a deflection to go out and allow Tottenham some breathing room. There's a lot of life to the game right now and both sides are pressing forward at every opportunity.
  • 25'
On the other end, Remy wins his side a free kick, deep down Tottenham's left flank to be whipped into the box by Barton.
  • 24'
HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?! Eriksen whips in a superb free-kick after Lamela was fouled, and from a central position, he hits the underside of the bar near the near post and the ball bounces in front of the line and out of the danger zone!
  • 23'
Ferdinand catches Lamela a fraction too late about ten yards outside of the box, as the defender lunged into a challenge but found the Argentine simply too quick to move the ball past him.
  • 21'
It's immediately down the pitch as Rose wiggles his way to the byline and hoofs a cross to the far post, but there's a foul on Dunne and the free-kick is awarded to the visitors.
  • 20'
OHHH WHAT A CHANCE FOR QPR! Moments after Eriksen nearly breached the visitors' defence with a well-timed run onto a through ball, Phillips is able to do the same, getting past Vertonghen in the box. He aims and tries to chip Lloris but ends up hoofing the ball over the crossbar!!
  • 19'
Spurs have maintained possession well over the past few minutes, building outside of the visitors' box and sending the ball back to their own defence when the need arises.
  • 17'
Not a bad opportunity from QPR, who win possession deep in Tottenham's half before Phillips sends an audacious shot from 30 yards out well wide of Lloris' right post.
  • 16'
Traore does well to get past Dier deep on the left flank heading towards the box, but his ensuing cross ricochets off of the home side's defender's leg on the tackle and Traore himself to go out for a goal-kick.
  • 15'
Barton plays in a deep cross that Lloris punches out, and the break is on! Vertonghen leads the charge down the left flank and tries to play the ball into the box for Chadli. It takes a deflection and falls for Adebayor centrally who prods it right into the arms of the onrushing Green!
  • 14'
Yet Spurs do it once again - dispossess the visitors and race forward. Lamela gets the ball wide on Green's left and plays a cross in that the goalkeeper paws away. QPR use the moment to race down the pitch and win a corner of their own - their first of the match.
  • 13'
Tottenham's last two attacks have come from opportunities that were just too easy to take the ball off of QPR and counter quickly. Redknapp's men certainly must be more careful in possession.

    GoalNacer Chadli
TOTTENHAM GOAL!!!! Chadli executes a superb finish from Adebayor's pass in the box after the home side steal the ball in the middle of the pitch. The striker loops it to the Belgian at the far post who takes it down on his chest and hooks it over Green into the back of the net!!
  • 10'
Fantastic work from Lamela! His persistence lets him rob the ball from QPR's backline and Spurs race forward. The ball gets to Chadli on the byline, who plays it back to Bentaleb on the edge of the box to cross into Adebayor. The striker's powerful header loops over the bar and that's the home side's best chance so far!
  • 9'
Chadli pulls off a little backheel flick that lets the ball bounce off Isla and out for a throw-in. Spurs send another cross into the box that's cleared out and Rose smashes the ensuing chance out for a goal-kick.
  • 8'
After some difficult moments moving the ball, Rose manages to foray forward down his flank. He plays it back to Bentaleb, who sees his effort cleared by Traore. Immediately after, Vertonghen commits a foul for a QPR free kick.
  • 6'
QPR work their way down the left before Isla loses the ball and the home side break quickly. Dier gets on the end of a ball played wide near the box and whips in a cross that Green gets down low to smother. A lively start from the home side, though without much cutting edge in these very early minutes.
  • 5'
Isla gets his first few touches of the match, taking a throw in before chesting and clearing the pass back from his teammates. The visitors contain the ball well but Spurs are organized tightly and not letting them make much progress in the middle of the pitch.
  • 3'
After holding off the opening duo of corner kicks, QPR forage forward, but all too easily lose the ball to the home side's defence. They get a second chance with possession and look to build more carefully this time, playing it back to Green under pressure.
  • 2'
The corner is cleared out but Spurs regroup and continue the probe around the box, giving Isla no choice but to poke a ball out for another corner. It's taken short and played low into the box from Eriksen, floating past his players and right into the arms of Green.
  • 1'
And we have kick-off! Spurs begin with the ball, and after a false start that the referee did not like, play it down the left flank and work it around the back. A poor pass from Bentaleb goes right to Traore, who loses it to Lamela just outside the box and sees his shot deflected out for a corner.
  • We're just minutes away from kickoff in this London Derby between the Spurs and QPR! A win today would see Pochettino's men keep pace with the perfect start that Swansea and Chelsea have set for the season or could conversely take QPR out of the bottom four and into the top half of the table.
  • Mauricio Isla joined QPR on loan from Juventus this summer, having never truly shined for the current Scudetto holders the way he has for Udinese and Chile in the past. Harry Redknapp will be looking for his incisive passing and quick runs to cause trouble for the home side today, and if he adapts quickly, he'll be key to their season.
  • Recent history between these two sides slightly favorus Tottenham; in four league matches since 2011, there has been two Spurs victories, one QPR victory, and one draw. Spurs had trouble scoring against other sides from London last season, however, with just 9 goals in 10 matches.
  • For the home side, their lineup does not feature the injured Chiriches and Walker and the suspended Naughton, who was red carded last match. QPR's Vargas, signed from Napoli this summer, does not yet have his work permit and thus cannot take part in this match.
  • Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Dier, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose; Bentaleb, Capoue; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Adebayor.
  • QPR (3-5-2): Green; Caulker, Ferdinand, Dunne; Isla, Mutch, Barton, Fer, Traore; Phillips, Remy.
  • Harry Redknapp's QPR are enjoying life in the top flight again after promotion from the Championship last season. They'll be looking to gets points on the scoreboard as soon as possible, though they're at a difficult venue: Spurs lost only five times at White Heart Lane all of last season.
  • Just three days ago, Mauricio Pochettino's men were triumphant in their Europa League qualifier against AEL Limassol, in a game where Erik Lamela impressed. The Argentine has had some trouble adjusting to life in England and staying fit since moving from Roma one summer ago, but is certainly one to watch this season.
  • Welcome to our live coverage of Tottenham - QPR! The opening round of fixtures could not have gone more differently for these two sides; the home side today will want to build on their 1-0 win despite being down a man to West Ham and the visitors are seeking their first points after a home loss to Hull.
