Toronto win Aggregate 2 - 1
This is unreal. 0-9 TFC wins the Voyageurs Cup again. Vancouver now 0-11 on in the history of this Cup.
And that's it! Petrescu blows the whistle and TFC has won it's fourth straight Canadian Championship!
90' + 4'
Joe Cannon has jumped into the Whitecaps attack. Very nearly got burned on the counter.
90' + 3'
Corner to Vancouver. Floats over everyone and goes for a goal kick. Nervous times here for both sides.
Five minutes of time added on.
Yellow Card Darren Mattocks
Yellow card to Darren Mattocks. Vancouver running out of ideas.
Corner to Vancouver, palmed out by Kocic.
TFC supporters singing "Just Can't Get Enough", but there's still plenty of time here.
Free kick to Vancouver from 25 yards. Chiumiento puts it JUST over the bar.
Yellow Card Doneil Henry
Goal Reginald Lambe
GOAL! Reggie Lambe finally gives TFC the goal they've been pressing for all game. Toronto up 2-1 on aggregate now.
OFFSIDE GOAL! TFC's Eckersley blew by everyone to run the length of the pitch. His cross was met by Soolsma, who beat Cannon but was judged to be a step or two off.
Corner kick to Vancouver., cleared easily by Frings.
Torsten Frings decides to try his luck from 25 yards after making a charging run down the middle of the pitch, but his shot is five yards wide.
Nick Soolsma coming in for TFC, replacing Plata. The little Ecuadorean gets a warm round of applause for his efforts.
Yellow Card Reginald Lambe
Vancouver's Chiumiento in. Could be a game changer for the 'Caps.
Game has definitely picked up here at BMO Field, and the crowd has awoken for what should be a great final 18 minutes.
Ryan Johnson and Jay DeMerit getting into it now. Johnson looks like he wants to kill the 'Caps captain.
Corner kick to Toronto after Eckersley just broke the ankles of his defender. Ball falls to Plata, who shoots straight at Joe Cannon.
Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo
Tons of space on the field now, and it seems to be TFC who are most intent on using it.
This is getting insane now. Players going after one another, bodies strewn about. Feels like a proper cup final.
Yellow/Red Sebastien Le Toux
RED CARD to Sebastien Le Toux for his part in the fracas. We'll play 10 v. 10 for the final half hour.
Red Card Julian De Guzman
RED CARD to TFC's Julian de Guzman, who seemed to have taken a swing at a Vancouver player after a melee involving Sebatien Le Toux and Ryan Johnson. Not smart from the hometown boy.
CLOSE CALL! Joe Cannon stops a wildly bouncing ball right on the line.
Looks like Danny Koevermans will take Avila';s spot in the TFC lineup.
Eric Avila getting attended to just outside the centre circle. TFC subs warming up.
Toronto's Jeremy Hall puts a low driven shot well to the right of Joe Cannon. Poor decision by the right back, who had time to take a touch and perhaps dish to a teammate.
TFC skies a shot after some good passing play. Vancouver still looking a tad listless.
Yellow Card Ashtone Morgan
Correction, it was Morgan who was carded.
Whitecaps' Le Toux is down on the pitch after a clumsy tackle from Doneil Henry. Yellow card issued to the TFC player.
Second half is underway!
If the score holds, Toronto will advance. I suspect that we'll see Martin Rennie make some offensive changes to start the second half, as Vancouver has to go for a goal in the final 45 minutes.
45' + 2'
And that's the half! Teams are deadlocked a zeroes, but it must be said that TFC carried the play for most of that half.
45' + 1'
Toronto's Julian de Guzman takes a hopeful effort from 25 yards that sails high.
Yellow Card Sebastien Le Toux
Yellow card to Le Toux for a nasty sliding tackle on Ashtone Morgan.
Frings scuffs a shot well wide, after lining it up nicely from about twenty yards out. You can tell he hasn't played much recently.
The lion's share of the play has shifted to the middle third of the pitch now, with TFC having a slight advantage in terms of creating an attack. Still not enough to do any damage.
On the ensuing free kick, Plata taps it to Frings, who BLASTS the ball just wide. It fooled much of the crowd into thinking it was in.
Yellow Card M. Bonjour
Yellow to Vancouver's Bonjour, as he takes down a TFC players who was clear in on goal.
Refree Petrescu showing that he's not afraid to blow the whistle, calling a foul on Toronto. Crowd doesn't agree, of course.
Corner kick to Vancouver after Kocic palms the ball out. Nothing comes of it, though.
Yellow Card Torsten Frings
Yellow card to Torsten Frings as he hits Thorrington with a hard, late challenge that could be heard all the way up in the press box.
Pace has settled down a bit as both teams battle it out in the midfield. Not much in the way of scoring chances over the past few minutes.
Vancouver;s Thorrington shoots just over the bar after receiving a good ball at the top of the Toronto area. The Whitecaps showing thast they have some life, now.
Vancouver gets its best opportunity as a floated free kick sent into the Toronto box is headed just wide. TFC has been burned by set piece defending in the recent past.
The crowd is howling for a penalty as it appears that one of the Vancouver players may have made contact with the ball using his arm. No call from Petrescu.
Another goal kick to Vancouver's Cannon. Almost all the play has been in his half thus far.
Still lots of TFC pressure so far, but nothing to show for it. Vancouver won't mind this so much as long as they don't concede.
Floated free kick by Frings. Vancouver clears and Le Toux has a foot race with TFC's Morgan nearly the length of the field. Le Toux is forced to play it out for a throw-in.
Corner kick to Toronto. After bobbling around in the Vancouver area, the Whitecaps clear the ball from danger.
NARROW MISS! Frings once again floats in a diagonal ball to Plata, who dives in and makes enough contact to sent the ball agonizingly across the face of Cannon's goal. TFC pressing.
Shot saved by Cannon. Nothing too threatening from TFC, but they seem eager to get forward from the outset.
TFC's Plata gets a semi-dangerous cross in after receiving a nice, floated pass from Frings.
This has the makings of a chippy match already, with a few hard challenges already having being thrown around.
And we're off! Referee Silviu Petrescu has blown the whistle to start the game!
We're just waiting for the players to come out of the tunnel.
The teams drew last week in the first leg at BC Place, with the 1-1 scoreline giving TFC a slighth advantage due to away goals. Toronto can win the Voyageurs Cup with a 0-0 draw, while a 1-1 score will force extra time.
Vancouver Whitecaps starting XI: Cannon, Rochat, DeMerit, Bonjour, Lee, Thorrington, Davidson, Koffie, Camilo, Hassli, LeToux
Toronto FC XI: Kocic; Hall, Cann, Henry, Morgan; de Guzman, Frings, Avila; Lambe, Johnson, Plata
It's a perfect evening for soccer down by the lake shore in Toronto. Right now it's 21 degrees with not so much as a cloud in sight. Weather will not be a problem for tonight's match!
