The Trillium Cup could be raised as the Eastern Conference foes clash on Saturday.

The last time Toronto FC and the Columbus Crew met, it ended a three-game winning streak for the Ohio side. There won't be any winning streaks on the line when the teams clash again on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field, but there could be some silverware to be won.

TFC would lock up the Trillium Cup — an annual total-points trophy contested by the two Eastern Conference rivals — with a victory in front of its home fans. After having defeated the Crew 2-0 back in April, the Reds would put the rivalry cup out of reach by earning the full three points on Saturday.

Ryan Nelsen's side heads into the match fresh off a disappoining 1-1 midweek draw with the Montreal Impact in the first leg of the Canadian Championship final, but many of the team's regulars were held out of that match in order to be ready for the Columbus game.

With the Crew currently holding down the final playoff position in the East, TFC will be looking to move back into the postseason picture and land another early season blow to its rival.

The home side may not have a better opportunity to do so, with Columbus heading into BMO Field without the services of attacking maestro Federico Higuain. The Argentine will miss the match due to yellow card accumulation, leaving Tony Tchani and youngster Will Trapp with the responsibility of starting the attacks for the Crew.

Others expected to miss the match include TFC's Michael Bradley (international duty), Julio Cesar (international duty), Steven Caldwell (suspension), Bright Dike (injury) and Jackson Goncalves (injury), and the Crew's Matt Weit (injury), Waylon Francis (international duty), Giancarlo Gonzalez (international duty).
