Djimi Traore made his Sounders FC debut in a 1-0 loss to Liga MX Clausura leader Tigres in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Tigres was staked to a 1-0 lead in the two-legged tie against the Seattle Sounders in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Djimi Traore made his debut for the MLS club, but couldn't help keep Tigres off the board in the 74th minute. Michael Gspurning managed to block a header from Lucas Lobos, but Alan Pulido cleaned up the rebound.

Tigres dominated the proceedings for much of the match, out-shooting the Sounders 18-3 and enjoying the majority of the possession. In the third minute, Sounders left back Leo Gonzalez cleared a shot off the goal line, and the MLS side was fortunate not to have conceded on a few other occasions when Tigres had golden opportunities.

Seattle, which won all four group stage matches, hosts the return leg on Tuesday at CenturyLink Field as it looks to overturn the deficit and advance to the semifinals against either Santos Laguna or the Houston Dynamo.
