Arguably Sweden's most dangerous attacker. Made a great run to the byline before his cutback was found to be slightly behind Toivonen. Was very lively; he also dropped deep to defend.
Made a strong appeal to become a regular in Loew's line-up. Was not tested very much, but put his ball-playing skills on display with solid distribution. In another era, he could have been a sweeper. His overall performance was marred by one cheap giveaway in injury time.
In the early stages of the game, the Mainz man struggled to assume the Oezil role in Germany's tactical game plan. After half-time, he improved, and linked well with Marin. Did not create any brilliant goals, but a playmaker needs his team-mates to flatter him. Came close to scoring the winner on 58 minutes, but missed wide.
