  • All done. Final whistle. Nice job for the Cottagers, a shame that Dempsey didn't get the chance to run his goal total up a bit more, but the injury is a casual one, just a rest day really. Bad day for Sunderland but the club is safe in the EPL barring everything else going against it.
  • 90'
Final minutes here. Great win for Fulham, only the second on the road this season. Goals from Davies and Kakuta did the job and Mark Hughes' men are suddenly well up the table on 45 points, safe and sound for another season.
  • 86'
Time winding down. Really not much worth talking about in the closing stages. There will be no storming back from Sunderland. The Black cats look like they've cashed in the chips.
  • 80'
Still, to have Dempsey, Duff, Dembele and Etuhu all out of the starting XI and walk out solid winner is impressive for a smaller side like Fulham.
  • 79'
    Substitution B. Zamora Andy Johnson
  • 79'
    Substitution Danny Murphy Dickson Etuhu
  • 79'
This is a great result for Fulham. 6-0 in its last two matches, one midweek against Bolton and another here against Sunderland. Sad to see Sunderland take a beating it didn't really deserve, but that's the way the game breaks.
  • 76'
    Substitution Jordan Henderson Craig Lynch
  • 76'
    Substitution Steed Malbranque Boudewijn Zenden
  • 75'
    Yellow Card Stéphane Sessegnon
  • 73'
    Assist B. Zamora
  • 73'
    Goal Simon Davies
  • 73'
Another goal for Fulham. Could be given to Davies, could be an OG for Sunderland. This one is all but over.
  • 70'
A little bit of frustration showing from Sunderland. Not the best day for the club. Letting Fulham top you at home is never a great thing.
  • 66'
    Substitution Sulley Muntari Anton Ferdinand
  • 66'
Fulham defending well for the last few minutes and Suderland looks completely out of the match. I don't see much of a spark coming right now with the lack of forwards on the Black Cats roster.
  • 62'
    Substitution Gäel Kakuta Jonathan Greening
  • 61'
    Assist Steve Sidwell
  • 61'
    Goal Simon Davies
  • 61'
Almost directly on the hour mark Davies makes it 2-0 to Fulham. Sidwell with the setup down the left, nice counterattacking move, and Davies pushes it into Sunderland's goal.
  • 59'
Sunderland back in the attack but there just isn't much for going right for the home side in the attacking third. Fulham can be a very hard team to break down, and right now the Black Cats are struggling despite having more of the ball.
  • 54'
Unlucky for Zamora. Gudjohnsen just had a blast from outside, tried to bend it with the outside of his foot to the back post and Zamora just couldn't get the final touch to make it 2-0.
  • 53'
You wonder about Kakuta in matches like these. He shows flashes of being a very good player and then does things like he just did, dribbling the ball out of bounds basically.
  • 51'
Great move there from Sessegnon from Sunderland, nice chance at goal at the end of it but Fulham got away with another poor bit of play.
  • 49'
Shot from Zamora takes an odd bounce and Fulham ends up with a corner.
  • 46'
Back underway, it's still Fulham leading 1-0 on the strength of Gael Kakuta's goal.
  • 45'
Henderson for Sunderland with the type chance players dream of just before the half. Ball sitting up just waiting to be smashed, and he shanks it wide of the target. Halftime whistle, we'll be back.
  • 45'
Pretty solid end-to-end stuff there for a minute. Gundjohnsen couldn't find the final ball on two occasions with Muntari having a shot blocked by the defense in between. And then Sidwell gets caught offside when Fulham has another break.
  • 42'
Salcido just picked up a little knock, play stopped for a second but the Mexican looks to be just fine. There are some crunching tackles coming in which isn't exactly what you'd expect in a meaningless match, but these are competitive groups.
  • 37'
Honestly, probably Sunderland with the better of play after the opening spell and this doesn't have the feel of a match that should have a leader at this stage. Muntari with a hit, deflected over. Lots of pressure from the Black Cats since the goal.
  • 35'
Good response for Sunderland. Cattemole probably should have scored and Fulham's defense looks like its in bad shape.
  • 33'
    Assist B. Zamora
  • 33'
    Goal Gäel Kakuta
  • 33'
A goal for Fulham. It's the youngster Gael Kakuta with a touch around the keeper and in after holding off a defender. Nice setup from Zamora down the right, good finish from the loanee on just his second start for the club.
  • 33'
Checking the Goal.com live scores, the goals are flowing in other matches. Most importantly for Americans Blackburn and Aston Villa both have leads.
  • 30'
Hard to pick much of a winner here right now. Malbranque just had the chance of the game after a poor pass from Fulham gifted the former Cottager a chance on goal, but he never got it out of his feet.
  • 27'
Sunderland getting a bit more of the game, a wishful shot from deep.
  • 21'
Gudjohsen with a shot, finally, from a dangerous position. The bid striker missed it badly but it was a chance, the first real one of the game. You wonder where the goals will come from for Fulham with Dempsey and Dembele both out of the lineup. There just isn't much creativity in the team without those two.
  • 18'
Not much to describe to you at this point. Fulham has more of the ball but has never looked like challenging the goal aside from the one break with Zamora and Gudjohnsen.
  • 13'
Fulham pressing the pace a bit. The Cottagers look like the better team at this point.
  • 8'
Senderos on the pitch for Fulham today, you Arsenal fans probably remember him. Good break from Fulham back down the other way, Gudjohnson missed Zamora with a pass that would have put the striker in.
  • 6'
Just over five minutes in, not much action to this point. Lot of play in the middle of the park, just a feeling-out period right now.
  • 3'
Steed Malbranque is in the lineup for Sunderland. He, along with Brian McBride, held the Fulham EPL scoring record before Dempsey broke it midweek.
  • 1'
Brede Hangeland is also out for Fulham and Gyan is missing for Sunderland, taking a good bit of the steam out of this match. We'll keep you updated along the way though as it should be a very open match between two sides without much to play for.
  • Getting ready for the opening kick from Sunderland, but some bad news already. Clint Dempsey is out with a hamstring injury picked up in training, so no American involved in this one.
