Goals from Omar Bravo and Sebastien Le Toux canceled each other out as Sporting KC and Philly drew 1-1 in Friday MLS action.The Philadelphia Union came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Sporting Kansas City at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on Friday night.
Both goals came in the second half.
Kei Kamara, left unmarked on the flank, leaned back and eased a low, swooping cross into the box. Omar Bravo darted behind his marker, opened up his body and sidefooted effortlessly past Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath.
With three goals in the past five matches, the Mexican Designated Player has a team-high nine goals this season. Kamara's assist means he has a point in four of his last five matches.
Less than 10 minutes later, Philadelphia equalized.
Michael Farfan somehow kept an errant Roger Torres shot in play under pressure from Seth Sinovic, stutter-stepped and cut the ball back in a crowded box. Sebastien Le Toux put the ball in the back of the net for his seventh goal in seven games, after only scoring once in his first 22 matches of 2011.
The point moves Sporting level on points with the Columbus Crew, atop the Eastern Conference. It also means Seattle Sounders FC are mathematically certain of a postseason berth.
