Dom Dwyer scored twice as Sporting Kansas City thoroughly defeated the visiting Montreal Impact.
Kansas City was gifted the opener when Montreal's Callum Mallace headed a long throw into his own net in the 31st minute.
Sporting put the game out of reach with a quick pair of second-half goals. A scramble in the box saw the ball pushed only as fas as Aurelien Collin, and the Frenchman drove a low shot past Troy Perkins to make it 2-0 in the 71st minute.
Soon after, KC was up 3-0 and cruising. Dom Dwyer was the scorer this time, running onto a loose ball in the middle touched into his path by Collin.
Dwyer found another late to turn a victory into a rout. The striker met a Graham Zusi cross close to goal, beating two defenders and Perkins to smash home.
Sporting is now unbeaten in its last five matches and boasts a 3-1-2 record. At a dismal 0-4-3, Montreal is still looking for a first victory.
